The house is set on a hectar of wooded land with another hectar of field around the manor in the calm countryside of Saumur. Two hectars equal 215,278 square feet. The Manoir du Buisson Perron gets its name from a Jousting Tournament which was called "Le Pas du Perron", organized by King René d'Anjou in the 15th century on the grounds of his castle – le Château de Launay – very close to Le Manoir du Buisson Perron. Nearby is the very pretty Launay Manor House as is the local village, Villebernier.

When coming from Paris, take the A10 autoroute, then the A11 (l'Océane) in the direction of Nantes and then the A85 following the signs to Saumur. The high-speed TVG train serves Saumur twice a day from Paris. If you take the train to Tours, which is just 55 minutes from the Paris Montparnasse train station by the TGV, it is a pleasant one-hour drive on to Saumur.
